Gallery availability

Hi there!
I've just noticed that maaaaany pics are not available any more.
I can see just some thumbnails, but mostly no pics underneath.

Be it a temporary unavailability of the provider (like http://imageshack.us) or some recent clean-up there by their admins , it doesn't really matter. It's just that we cannot rely on this due to external reasons.

Is there not enough space of forum's server to put the pics there and have it under forum's control (and not relying on the mercy of some external providers)?

Hey Sabine. thanks for the post. I just clicked on many pics in each gallery and they all came up as expected. I can't see the issues you are describing. Perhaps it was just a temporary internet glitch?

I could be wrong, but I thought all pics were hosted on our server, so there should be no external image sites affecting our galleries. Pics posted in other topics around the forums are of course subject to the site they use to upload them or link to them, but our galleries should be fine for that.

Perhaps check again and let us know how it goes. :)

With all due respect, Jo, you did have access to it, coming from Germany and all that and being experienced, but..when you didnt read the rules (three times) and went mass contacting people via their profiles (twice, at least), it was time to just go back to normal settings which will give it to you, but not for awhile. It is based on post count.  Without meaning to cause you embarrasement, I did say to you twice, on MSN messenger, that you need to read the rules about that and you, each time, said Im sorry, but didnt pay attention.

Seems like I hit the worst downtimes of the servers...
But if they pay me to be a tester for it, I'd have a much more frequent look at the pics!

For some reason I no longer have access to the galleries, nor can I see other peoples profiles, but I used to be able.  It sure would be nice to know who I am talking to sometimes.

You had all that stuff? For someone as inactive as you, I find it remarkable. Perhaps that was the reason why it was removed. Be a little more active, that might help.
