First visit to LoneStar Resort

Hope this is the right forum, it seems like it should be....

Hi all.... today I had a chance to visit the LoneStar resort for the first time. As with most resorts going on a Monday it will be usually pretty empty. I got there much earlier than I had originally expected, and did have to wait for a bit for someone to process me as a first time visitor.

After that was all said and done, I walked around the resort for a bit to see what it was like, the resort is only 5 years old and is still kind of in a new construction phase. They have a man made lake which you can fish from, a pool and a spa. They also a volleyball court, horseshoes and a few other games.

I was able to talk to a few regulars while hanging out at the pool. I was the youngest person there by far today, the group of people I met were very welcoming and we spent a lot of time discussing other resorts we'd been to. If your not an ANNR member (which I'm not right now) it costs $20 to use it for the day.

Here in the US, we have a have our Labor (Labour) Day in September. I had hoped to have been able to do something else originally that weekend which fell through, so now I'm planning on going back to the resort on that weekend.

On Saturday's I have been told they will usually have a party which is largely consists of a Pot Luck.

Anyways, if your in the Houston, TX area, I would recommend visiting this place.
